大陸の香り

この地方には珍しくはざ掛けされた田んぼに笠を被った女性が1人いた。
西陽を浴びて輝きを放っていた稲穂を前に撮影させてもらった。
撮影中から古風なアジが出てる写真になるのだろうと思っていたけれどプリントをして驚いた。
この女性のお姿、雲南省あたりの少数民族の人々のそれとデジャヴした。
国境を超えて今なお存在するアジア人のルーツを垣間見た気がした。
とりわけ原発事故後にこの地方の稲作が危機に瀕していたことを思うと、
稲作発祥の地に程近い地方の香りが僕の目の前に立ち現れたことは心底嬉しかった。

 Asian roots

There was a woman wearing a traditional hat in a rice field at Imada
village, Soma city.
I shot her in front of ears of rice shined by afternoon sun.

I was surprised to see the print that she looked very much like ethnic
people living around Yunnan province in China.
l think it's kind of Asian roots we still have across borders.

I was delighted to find out this kind of affinity after Fukushima
Daiichi nuclear power plant's accident at this region because the rice
culture faced to be died out by the accident.
